About Author


About Author

The author is a part time flash developer job who know flash game development from a desperate friend who struggle his way through flash game development. At first, the author find himself enjoying to design and create his own game while usually he just play other people games. Right until now, he still find it interesting to do so. Furthermore, he still always find many ideas in any crossroads in the development process. This is why he always make a straight base ideas, and bend it every time he got an idea to make the game more exited.

The Beginning

The author were take a college in a IT major. The feel for games has start from the college, where most of the task and homework were represented in a game. I thought it's because most of the programming concepts would be better understood by university student through creating game where we can freely doing anything using theory we've just been taught.

Still involved in IT world, right after the author graduated, he work as a programmer at software house at Bali island for two years. In those period, battle formation 1 has born and released.

The Feel for Battle Formation

The author got the biggest motivation at the game development from the release of Battle Formation 1. Once it got the market, the author seems to has a boost of spirit and eager to make more games.

Actually the author also create another game besides Battle Formation series, but not really get the audience. One of his game were poor, lack of quality, and resulting many complaints and bad feedback. So he still feel most comfortable in continuing Battle Formation. But while he finishing the process of Battle Formation 2, he decided to end the series in part 3. The complexity of the game plus the bugs were pretty frustrating and sometimes he just felt it wasn't worth the time. So, he would do more in a small and casual game which were easier, less complex and makes the creativity ideas goes to improving the game and adding new feature and elements.

Work Style

the author were treat his game as a way to express himself. He free to design any gameplay he wants, any genre he wants, and with any storyline he wants. He free to do anything and there's no one tells him what to do. It pretty obvious when he were at Bali, he released a game which actually representing his office and his friends, right after he resign from the company. The game were Bugzilla, Software Development War.


The author were also most likely create a game what he really wants to create, that's why he never took much attention to the release timing, including Battle Formation. But after years passed, from 2009 to 2012, he feels that he need to took more attention to it, since he also look forward for the ads.

Besides creating his own, the author also do something else. He do porting actionscript 2 to actionscript 3 for Nyan Cat and programs Gangnam Solitaire for his friend which can't do much algorithm, while the author likes it. In mid 2013, he also has a promise to program a game with a zombie theme to be released at the Halloween event. Any work which seems interesting would be fine for the author.

One thing about game programmer. In the early years, there's not much people have a will to do game development in the author's neighborhood. So, he develop every games alone. Single programmer up until now.

One last thing about the author. He likes to have a positive feedback, suggestion, and sort of. He also really satisfied when people enjoy his game and makes him eager to do better next time. His ultimate goals for all this time were to make people fun with his game. It's a something he would buy for it.
